Last day in Paris

Versailles - it was great at it's best, but it wasn't quite worth the price and train trip put there. I'm glad I did it - the Hercules room (the ceiling picture in this post) and the sun room are just mind boggling - and to imagine them with all the pomp and dress of 17th century royalty - it really can't be beat.

Well, I can't think of much more to do in Paris - without spending more euros - it's good I'm leaving then.

I love looking at all the French faces - it's a type you just don't find in the states. I encountered a rude French waiter (it was sort of neat when I realized it!). I've had un cafe a bunch of times - had a chocolate bar (not too much better, but I could tell a slight difference). I bought the wrong postage for my postcards (she asked "envoyer en France (send in France)" - I said yes since I thought, yes I'm sending these in France. Oh well - only a few euros. I fixed it so some people should be getting postcards in a long while.

I've strolled the seine - the parks - done the metro - it's all just so Parisian. I'd love to come Back one day in a different season with someone else and do more things and redo stuff too - it's just been so cold - unusually cold. The parks are probably entirely different with leaves.

Wish me luck with my train and plane connections in the coming days - but don't worry too much - I'm over halfway done and my knee hasn't given out so I'm super blessed!
